Once Human: A Player's Look at the Latest Fixes and One Stubborn Bug
Once Human patch notes fix iOS crashes, ore refresh issues, and improve Hoarders drops, enhancing gameplay for dedicated players.
As a player who has spent far too many nights scavenging in the Pollution Zone, chasing Deviants, and rebuilding my Territory after every wipe, I have a complicated relationship with patch notes. Sometimes they feel like a love letter. Sometimes they feel like a warning. This latest round of Once Human updates, however, reads more like the former. Have you ever been mid-fight when your game suddenly crashes? Have you ever watched a rare ore node refuse to refresh? I have. That is why this list matters to me.
How I Send Feedback When Something Breaks
When I run into a bug, I do not just complain in chat. I use the official channels. On PC, I press ESC, go to Support & Feedback, and then Submit Suggestion. On mobile, I open the Map left-side menu, tap the Headphones icon at the bottom right, choose Suggestions, and then Submit Suggestion. If I am offline, I use the official email. The development team says they investigate as soon as they receive messages, and based on this patch list, they seem to be telling the truth.
The Fixes That Made Me Cheer
I want to walk through the changes that actually affect my daily loop. These are not abstract backend notes. They are the difference between a smooth session and a rage quit.

You're Delicious whim — Temporarily disabled in Securement Silos and Monolith because it could cause abnormal drops of essential items. It will be re-enabled once resolved.
-
Permanent Server Territory retraction — Fixed. A character's Territory should no longer be unexpectedly retracted on first entry under certain circumstances.
The One Issue I Am Still Watching
Not everything is solved. The development team has identified a Pollution Zone issue where the refresh cooldown for the Hunting Squad resets to zero upon exiting the Pollution Zone. They are working on an urgent fix, expected by this Wednesday. Also, the refresh cooldown for the Hunting Squad will be reduced from 10 minutes to 5 minutes. That is a massive quality-of-life change. Are you as excited as I am? A five-minute cooldown means more hunts, more loot, and less standing around.
What This Means for 2026
In 2026, live-service games live or die by their feedback loops. Once Human is not perfect. It still has rough edges, temporary removals, and bugs that need urgent patches. But this update shows that community reports are being read. The team is gathering feedback and actively addressing concerns. That is all I ask for as a player.
So, if you are returning after a break, now is a decent time. If you are still frustrated, use the support channels. If you find a bug, report it. And if you see me in the Pollution Zone, say hello. I will be the one mining Stardust Ore, checking my five-minute Hunting Squad cooldown, and hoping my Gilded Gloves animation stays fixed. 😄
